Students: Please read carefully before e-mailing!
Students are welcome to e-mail questions for school newspaper articles, assignments for health and psychology classes, follow-up questions from a seminar, and we especially like personal comments regarding your participation in a seminar. However, due to liability and personal safety, we must implement the following guidelines when receiving e-mail from students. When a student e-mails our organization we notify the school that the student has made contact with us. The name of the student is shared with the school; however, the content of the e-mail is not, unless; the e-mail content represents an immediate danger to the student or someone else, the student is in danger (physical and sexual abuse), any and all references to feelings of suicide and/or violent actions. We know this may discourage some students from reaching out for help. We care deeply about students and we hope that if you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned above you reach out to a trusted adult and/or professional caregiver in your community. |
